Scott Percival

Director, Head Trainer

Scott is the director and head trainer at Advance-Forward, he built the company for the ground up to what is now one of the largest RTO’s in Queensland.

After spending 5 years in the British Army’s Cavalry Regiment The Kings Royal Hussars’ and completing various tours overseas Scott returned to Australia in 2009 with a passion for security, he has worked with some of the top organisations not just throughout Australia but throughout the world.

Scott loves training new students and most return time and time again for refresher training and to up skill. Scott’s classroom technique leads to a relaxed and friendly class environment where student have fun and learn.

Administration

Allison assists the company with administrative and organisational tasks.

Annette Smith

Annette has over 20 years experience in the VET sector starting as a trainer and moving through to the position of CEO.  This has provided her many aspects of the training and education industry. In recent years Annette has become a qualified Auditor and continues to improve the quality and standard of the training and assessing of the learners.

Jeff Leahy

A leading CPA in Victoria, Jeff overseas all the accounts maintaining the financial viability of the RTO.

At Advance-Forward we deliver nationally accredited courses via training face-to-face and in the workplace. When you study with us, your trainer will be always there to assist you throughout your course. You can either enrol in a classroom training environment or receive onsite workplace visits and even phone or email your Trainer for advice which means you get the support you need when you need it.


Advance-Forward trainers are all professionally qualified trainers and have personal industry and job role experience. Our trainers deliver their training in a way that students enjoy.

Ian Turner

Security and First Aid Trainer

I have been involved in the Security industry for over 22 years. During this time, I have gained broad experience in all aspects of this working environment including, but not limited to Mine Security, Security & Risk Management, Static & Mobile Security, Venue Security, Crowd Control, Cash in Transit, Gatehouse Operations and Close Personal Protection.

Previous positions have included managing up to 180 staff as a Security Venue Supervisor at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Senior Security Manager in Afghanistan and over 10 years as a Crew Leader in the CiT industry.

Qualifications include Diploma’s in Security & Risk Management and Management. Cert IV’s in Security, OHS & Training as well as being a qualified Firearms Instructor in QLD for classes A,B,C,D,E,H firearms.

Angelo Xerri

Security and First Aid Training Consultant

Angelo has been involved in the security for over 25 years working at all levels eventually moving into the training sector.  Throughout this time, he served in the Australian Army deploying twice and worked in a variety of business sectors often in senior roles.  Having moved into the training sector over 5 years ago, Angelo quickly developed his knowledge of the VET system.  Angelo continues to teach security, risk management, occupational health and safety among other courses of instruction.
