Cash In Transit (CIT)

Cash In Transit (CIT) Skill Set

These units of competency are designed to be delivered through a 2 day face to face training package and are elective units.

After successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge and skills to apply for a Cash In Transit (CIT) endorsement to your security license with the QLD Office of Fair Trading.

This will allow you the opportunity to apply for employment in cash in transit security guard positions.

Method of Course Delivery

2 day face to face training

This course is delivered from 8:30am until 5:00pm on selected days.  The total duration of direct face to face training takes place over 2days.

Minimum Requirements for Eligibility of CIT

To be eligible for this course you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed and provide evidence of completion within the last 12 (twelve) months of a Certificate III in Security Operations
  • Hold a current Qld Security Guard License
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Resident documented with a Passport, Citizenship Certificate or Green Medicare Card. Must provide at least 1 Document
  • Prove your identity documented with a Drivers License, 18+ Proof of Age Card, Keypass Card or Passport. Must provide at least 1 Document
  • 18 years of age or older documented with a Drivers License, 18+ Proof of Age Card, Keypass Card or Passport. Must provide at least 1 Document

We are not CRICOS approved and do not train international students

Units of Competency for CIT

Upon successful completion of the course you will be provided with a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency. To achieve this qualification you will be required to complete and demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of the following units of competency. Assessments consist of written, verbal, practical display and case scenarios.

CPPSEC3050A – Load & Unload Cash In Transit in an Unsecured Environment

CPPSEC3051A – Implement Cash In Transit Procedures

CPPSEC3052A – Inspect & Test Cash In Transit Security Equipment

 

Upon Successful Completion of CIT

After successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge and skills to apply for a Cash In Transit endorsement to your security license with the QLD Office of Fair Trading.

This course will also provide you with multiple opportunities to practice and present good communication skills, teamwork, problem solving, initiatives and enterprise, planning and organisation, self management, effective learning skills and information about the newest QLD security law, legislation and security technology.

All our courses are presented by experienced trainers who have relevant industry experience and the knowledge to assist you to become proficient in the QLD cash in transit security industry.

 

Non-Satisfactory Completion

If you receive a non-satisfactory completion at the end of the course, you will be provided with a second opportunity to complete the course satisfactorily at extra no cost. Our trainers will use all available facilities to assist you in reaching a satisfactory grading.  We do not guarantee the successful completion of this course, however we will provide you with the full support from our expert trainers for you to achieve the best possible outcome.

 

Employment Opportunities with CIT endorsement

Advance-Forward is not an employment agency.  However, written references may be applied for by the student within 2 (two) weeks after the successful completion of the course.

After the successful receipt of your cash in transit Statement of Attainment you may be eligible to apply for a cash in transit endorsement to your security license with the QLD Office of Fair Trading.

 

Price – CIT

The cost of the cash in transit course is $250.  We accept payment by bank transfer, PayPal, cash or EFT/credit card facilities.

A deposit of $50 is required upon your cash in transit enrolment, with refunds available as per our refund policy.  A copy of our refund policy can be located on our website or a hard copy can be viewed in our student handbook.

All QLD security students will be required to provide us with your USI number. If you do not have a USI number please go to www.usi.gov.au and follow the prompt to apply for a USI number. You will then be provided with a copy of our student handbook by email or post and will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test prior to the commencement of the course.  Copies of both can be found on our website or are available on request.  These documents will be required to be returned to our office prior to the commencement of this course.

USI

All students are required to provide us with your USI number issued by the QLD training authority. If you do not have a USI number please go to http://www.usi.gov.au and follow the prompts to apply for a USI number. Once we receive your USI we will provide you with a copy of our student handbook. You will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy appraisal prior to the commencement of the course.
